\nThe reasons of the enclosure were:
\n1.<\/strong> Villa d’Este is one of the outstanding examples of Renaissance culture at its height.
\n2.<\/strong> The gardens of Villa d’Este has profoundly influenced the development and design of gardens throughout Europe.
\n3.<\/strong> The principles of design and aesthetics of the Renaissance are presented in an exceptional manner by the gardens of Villa d’Este.
\n4.<\/strong> The gardens of Villa d’Este are among the first and the most ‘refined’ Garden of Wonders and symbolize the flowering of Renaissance culture.\"tivoli5\"<\/p>\n

Last year it was recognized for the uniqueness of the garden, but also for its accessibility, for the maintenance, as well as for its modernity and efficiency “as the” most beautiful park in Europe, at the first European edition of the competition launched in the 90s in the USA by Briggs & Stratton.
\nSubject of major restoration work (two years ago were completed work costing around 13 million euros), the villa is full of monuments and above all the beautiful fountains: 500 are those realized by Gian Lorenzo Bernini<\/strong>.
\nAmong the most unique and famous monuments not to be missed during the visit: the Viale delle Cento Fontane (<\/strong>Avenue of the Hundred Fountains), pouring in the same channel water jets of various forms and extents, the Spianata delle Tre Peschiere <\/strong>and the Fontana del Bicchierone, <\/strong>shaped like a cup supported by a shell.<\/p>\n
