\"\"<\/a>It might not be the shining star of Italy as the other cities are, but Milan has a great deal to offer tourists who fly into or out of the airport of this interesting city. There are plenty of things to do in the city besides visit the airport, of course, and you might just find plenty to keep you in Milan for an extended stay as part of your trip.<\/p>\n

Quadrilatero d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Oro<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milan is the fashion capital of the world, or at least Italy, so it stands to reason there is plenty to do in the city that relates to fashion and shopping. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re in Milan with money to burn, take a serious tour of the Quadrilatero d\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Oro. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re traveling a bit lighter in your pocketbook, you can still take a tour of the shopping region, but perhaps focus more on window shopping than the real thing to protect your bank account. There is a huge amount to see and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll walk away with a terrific experience even if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not holding one of the fantastic bags from the street.<\/p>\n

Tour the Parks of Milan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milan is a bustling city \u00e2\u20ac\u201c more so than many of its neighbors \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be odd indeed if you didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t find yourself wishing for a break from the hustle. When you reach a point that the excitement of the city isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t that exciting any longer, settle down and enjoy taking an afternoon stroll through one of the beautiful parks or just relax and watch the Milanese walk by as they take a break from their own hectic lives in the big city. There are many fabulous statues, fountains and monuments in the green parks as well. You might also get lucky and stumble upon a concert or event in the open green areas as well \u00e2\u20ac\u201c you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll never know until you check it out!<\/p>\n

The Canals of Milan<\/strong><\/p>\n

You might not expect them, but there are two canals in the heart of Milan and you can take a boat tour along the canals and experience a side of Milan that you wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t normally be able to. The summer is the best time to tour the canals, and as you travel, you might just learn that the canal you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re visiting and enjoying was designed by none other than the famous Italian, Da Vinci.
