The terrace on top of the beautiful mountain offers <strong>views of the Roman hills and the Tiber.<\/strong> It includes a <strong>beautiful park and 3 villas<\/strong>; one of them houses the <strong>astronomical observatory<\/strong> (it is possible to visit it on request).<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1218\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossingitaly.net\/travel\/wp-content\/uploads\/roma-panoramica6.jpg\" alt=\"roma panoramica6\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Gianicolo: <\/span><\/strong>this is a <strong>walking path<\/strong>. There is a panoramic view embracing <strong>S. Peter, the Vittoriano up to the Aventino<\/strong>. It starts from Trastevere or near Villa Sciarra, and along the way there also is the\u00a0<strong>Temple of Bramante<\/strong>. It isn\u2019t a long walk but if you do not want to walk there are also <strong>buses<\/strong>, the numbers 115 and 870. Every day the gun in the terrace on top of the hill fires a shot with blanks, to announce to the Romans <strong>it is 12 o\u2019clock. <\/strong>Many people enjoy being present to the ceremony. The most scenic point is <strong>Piazza Garibaldi.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Castel S. Angelo:<\/strong><\/span> it has terraces on different levels overlooking the <strong>Tiber<\/strong>, which enjoy splendid views .<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Balloon in Villa Borghese: <\/strong><\/span>the spectacular view from the balloon is <strong>really astonishing<\/strong>.
