Located between the Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, Lake Garda is the largest of Italy and has an area of 369.98 square km, a perimeter of 155 km and a maximum depth of 346 meters.
It is considered the most Mediterranean of the Italian Alpine lakes. Inside there are numerous islands, among which the most famous and extensive is the Garda one.
The climate is very mild, Mediterranean-type: cool summers, gentle winters and abundant rainfall during the autumn.
