The Province of Brindisi covers an area of 1838 sq km, characterized by Murge (internal hills) that degrade the plains towards the east up to 80.6 kilometres of coastline.
It consists of 20 municipalities.
Almost every one of the 20 municipalities of the province has its own dialect, which are the result of several migration and dominations.
