La Piana dei Castagni is located in the woods close to Bologna, in Emilia Romagna, not too far form Tuscany.
This part of Emilia Romagna has many sites of great natural beauty � there are 3 national parks within 40 minutes - and is perfect for walkers and cyclists. The clients can spend days exploring this area,tasting in very typical small restaurants the Bolognese specialties like tortellini, tagliatelle and splendid wild mushrooms and truffles. Besides the local sport facilities include swimming, fishing and archery.
La Piana dei Castagni is open from March to November and offers accommodation for up to 11 guests with five double/triple bedrooms. Each room comes with bathroom and satellite TV. The delicious breakfast includes local specialities, cured meats, home-baked cakes, honey, jams and local chestnuts (the eponymous castagni).
