The Val di Cornia is a strip of land which reaches towards the promontory of Populonia and the sea, as if trying to re-forge the ancient links with the island of Elba and the Tuscan Archipelago.
Today this land, most of which was rescued from the pools and swamps that characterised the coastal area until the last century, represents an extraordinary cultural and environmental heritage.
