El Balear Hotel is the only Three Star hotel of Alghero along the beach. Designed by the famous architect Simon Mossa, whose other works include the Palau de Valencia and the Escal del Cabirol, the hotel is located a short distance from the historic and commercial center of the city, about 400 meters distant passing along the Promenade Lungomare Dante.

The hotel offers every type of comfort, terrace bar with tables and deck chairs, a spacious hall, TV room and furnished meeting room. The hotel has central air conditioning. It offers 55 rooms, all with private bathroom (shower or tub), satellite TV, telephone with direct outside line, balcony and air conditioning. Some rooms have a sea view, while others overlook the wonderful internal gardens. The internal garden is immersed in a well-cured green inside which bicycles and motorcycles may be kept.
